Outpatient pharmacy operating temporary location during remodel

During the recent snow and ice storm, the pipes in the outpatient pharmacy broke and leaked throughout the office. House supervisors discovered the leak seeping through both doors and onto the carpet. The damage caused by the leak brought attention to a potential health hazard in the facility, so the plant ops department decided to gut and remodel the space during the first week of March.

In preparation for the remodel, the outpatient pharmacy packed up and moved across the hall to a temporary location. The move backed them up for a few days, but Angela Miller, outpatient staff pharmacist, said “the employees were extremely patient and understanding” during the transition.

The outpatient pharmacy is hoping to be back in their regular location next week and anticipates they will be down for a few days to pack up and relocate again. Pharmacy staff members ask that the employees be proactive and get their orders placed in advance of the disruption. They expect things to run a little slower than normal for about two days following the move.

The outpatient pharmacy staff would like to thank plant ops and information systems for their continuous help during this challenging time. Angela Miller said she “cannot say enough wonderful things about them all.”
