Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital provides an experienced midwifery care program utilizing certified nurse-midwives to provide whole-woman care, including obstetrics, gynecology and family planning services. We are the longest-serving midwifery program within a 100-mile radius and offer specialized care plans, unique to each individual patient.

RINAJOYCE ABRIL-WALKER, CNM
DIANA SELVEY, RN, CNM
Diana Selvey is the manager of the Nurse Midwifery Service and has been a practicing midwife since 1983. She graduated with honors from Texas Women’s University, with a BS in Nursing. Her Master of Science with a focus on midwifery was completed at the University of Utah, where she graduated with honors. Ms Selvey provides OB care through the Care First Women’s Health clinic, and attends births at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital.
MELANIE WILSON, RN, CNM
Melanie Wilson obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oklahoma Baptist University and Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University. For Melanie, becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife has been far more than a career path, this has been a life-long passion. She has known that she wanted to deliver babies since watching The Miracle of Life in seventh grade science class. Since beginning her career at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital she has had the privilege and joy of helping bring over 500 babies into the world. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young sons, reading, and learning Spanish.
