In an effort to better serve our patients, we created the Patient Access Center, or PAC, to facilitate a quicker registration process for those who need to bypass through the lobby, but don't need supervision by emergency personnel. The PAC will serve patients Monday – Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Please note, the admissions department closes at 5:30 p.m., so patients must arrive before that time. Patients who need transfusions that will last more than three hours will be accepted no later than 3 p.m. in order to complete the transfusion prior to closing. For holidays and weekends patients will need to report to the ER for these services.
Surgery patients: To better serve our patients, Memorial Health has relocated our surgery registration services from the Patient Access Center to the day surgery admissions area. For ease of access and your time, please pre-register for your surgery at the Memorial Health surgery center instead of the main lobby. The day surgery center is located next to the emergency department, with a Raguet Street entrance convenient to our new parking plaza. We hope these changes will result in a more convenient access for you. For more information, call the surgery center at 936-568-8444.
Patient safety: For optimum safety, we ask you to have your medication list on-hand with your physician orders, because we find that our patients frequently have trouble remembering all of their meds during times of stress.
