In accordance with TX HB 2211, Nacogdoches Memorial Health (NMH) permits one (1) visitor per patient, unless otherwise ordered by the attending physician. Visitor hours and exceptions vary by unit and circumstance.
General Visiting Hours:
9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
ICU Visits:
Allowed for 30-minute intervals at 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 1:00 PM
COVID-19 Patient Visits:
Limited to one 30-minute visit per day
Surgery, Cardiac Cath Lab, GI Lab:
One visitor allowed to assist with discharge instructions
Pediatrics:
One parent must remain with the child at all times
Women & Children’s Health Services:
Specialized visitation guidelines available within the department and online
Must be 18+ years old
Must pass screening for temperature, symptoms, and exposure risk
Must wear required PPE and practice social distancing
Hand sanitization is mandatory
Cannot visit multiple patients
May briefly access café, vending, and restrooms (except for COVID visits)
Note: NMH assumes no liability for illness transmission during visitation.
Located on the first floor, the Bright Café offers freshly prepared meals including breakfast, sandwiches, a salad bar, home-style meats, desserts, and beverages like coffee and iced tea.
Hours:
Monday – Sunday: 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Serves Starbucks® products near the Emergency Department & Surgery Center, offering coffee, lattes, cappuccinos, iced tea, snacks, soup, fresh sandwiches, and baked goods.
Hours:
Weekdays: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Registered dietitians assess your nutritional health during your stay. If you have special dietary needs or questions, let your nurse know. Dietitians may provide personalized nutrition education.
Patients can order meals by phone between 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. from the menu in their room by calling (936) 569-4600.

Family and visitors can request a guest tray by calling ext. 3663 (FOOD) from the room phone. Guest trays are $5 per meal.
Vending machines are available 24/7 in several locations, offering sandwiches, snacks, candy, and drinks. Microwave ovens are available at each nurses’ station and in the ICU/IMC waiting area.
Located in the main lobby, the Gift Shop is operated by the hospital’s Auxiliary and is open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
